Breakfast with Drew Faust at Henrietta’s Kitchen. She showed me the galleys of her book that is coming out in January. We became friends 2 years ago while I was a Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, which is when I also had my first relationship with ART in “Dido, Queen of Carthage”. After both Dido and OX she ran up to the stage and handed me flowers. Now that is certainly an endorsement; I’m glad she appreciates my work, but more important than that, she gets the work. After breakfast I walked with the 28th President of Harvard to Massachusetts Hall, where she showed me her office in the oldest building on campus. I then walked out into Harvard Yard feeling exhilarated and proud. This is a huge moment for her.
